1. Zio Romolo's Alley Bar

Dino - ‘Zio’s aka Alley Bar shares space with the great pizzeria, Pasquini’s Highlands. Zio’s is an adults-only zone which I’m sure angers some people to no end, but considering that Pasquini’s has several family and kids specials, it’s only fair that non baby-toting adults have a space of their own. Zio’s is decorated in Art Deco antiques which the owner got by scouring eBay according to the bartender that I had last month. It is a small bar and it only seats 16 or so but it has a warmth that makes you want to camp out and not leave.... View

Dino - ‘I’ve taken the train from Denver to other cities of this great nation before and it is a treat. The station is a bit run down and feels like someone has gone through it and stole a lot of the great items that were sure to be present during its first few decades of operation. You’d expect great woodwork and perhaps period correct fixtures, but that isn’t the case. What you do get is huge marble floors, walls and ceilings and the charm of train people. Still fun, but I’m guessing not nearly as romantic as traveling by train years ago.... View
